Razz
Razz was a young Axis Deer buck. Originally from India there
is a growing population of Axis deer in the southwest US on
game farms. This buck was orphaned as a youngster and bottled
fed. Because they are so tame and not afraid of humans hand
fed deer can be dangerous as they mature. Handlers must be
particularly careful during mating season, when the male deer
is in rut, their natural instinct to fight is directed to
people.
We purchased Razz to film a 30 second TV
commercial advertising a new development in Montgomery County,
MD. The punch line was The buck stops here, and so does the
Metro This was shot on the street in the development.
Thats me in the flowered shirt talking to the director.
